General description
The Progard® XL-S pretreatment pack pretreats feed water by removing large particles, organic compounds and free chlorine from tap water. It protects the reverse osmosis (RO) membrane against mineral scaling, organic fouling, and chlorine oxidation.
The pretreatment pack includes prefiltration to remove particles, activated carbon to remove chlorine, and an anti-scaling agent to minimize the risk of scale formation.
For use with larger RiOs™, Elix® and AFS® E water purification systems.

How frequently do the various consumables need to be changed?

The frequency that consumables must be changed depends on the system's usage (treated water volume) and on the consumables themselves (time of usage). In order to ensure the quality of water and your results, the consumables should be replaced when the system alerts you.
