Can Stericup® bottles be placed inside freezers for long-term storage of media?

You can successfully freeze and store many aqueous solutions (such as culture media) in Stericup® bottles at temperatures up to -20 °C (-4 °F). It is strongly recommended that you run a sample stability trial under your actual storage conditions prior to using Stericup® bottles for frozen storage.

The User Guide says “Use only glass or plastic bottles designed for vacuum applications”. Can you specify which bottles are compatible?

Steritop® Quick Release bottle top units require a vacuum-rated receiver bottle with either a GL33 or GL45 mm closure thread as specified. Steritop® E bottle top units require a vacuum-rated receiver bottle with a GL45 mm closure thread. Bottles no larger than 2 L should be used.
