General description
Rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied as undiluted serum. Recognizes the ~79 kDa TORC1, TORC2, and TORC3 proteins in over-expressing cells and endogenous TORC1 and TORC2.
Recognizes the ~79 kDa TORC1, TORC2, and TORC3 proteins in 293T cells over-expressing TORC1, TORC2, or TORC3. Recognizes endogenous TORC1 and TORC2.
TORCs (Transducers Of Regulated cAMP Response Element-Binding (CREB) protein) are members of a conserved family of co-activators that enhance CRE-dependent transcription by a phosphorylation-independent interaction with the bZIP DNA binding/dimerization domain of CREB. Studies suggest that TORC phosphorylation and nuclear/cytoplasmic shuttling play an important role in the regulation of gluconeogenesis by cAMP.
This Anti-PAN TORC (1-42) Rabbit pAb is validated for use in Immunoblotting, Immunoprecipitation for the detection of PAN TORC (1-42).

Readily detects TORC1, TORC2, and TORC3 in cells over-expressing the proteins, as well as endogenous levels of TORC1 and TORC2. Endogenous TORC3 is only detected if present at high levels. This antibody has been used to immunoprecipitate recombinant TORC1, TORC2, and TORC3 from over-expressing cells. For immunoprecipitation 4 µl in a total volume of 400 µl has been tested. Antibody should be titrated for optimal results in individual systems.
