Questions

  1. Can we use this antibody on bovine y-spermatozoa to bind surface protein of sperm cell ?

    1 answer
    1. The immunogen of ST1551 Sigma-Aldrich Anti-GGT1 Mouse mAb (1F9) is a recombinant polypeptide corresponding to amino acids 381-471 of human GGT1, expressed as a GST fusion protein. This sequence has 89% homology to bovine, so most likely the antibody will work in bovine, but we have not tested it in-house in bovine samples.

It appears that ST1551 has been utilized with bovine spermatozoa in the papers referenced below. It is recommended to review these papers for detailed information regarding the experimental protocols and results.
