All of the materials of construction are autoclave compatible. It is recommended that filters not be sealed tight during the cycle. Once the cycle is complete and the devices have cooled it is then recommended that the devices be tightened and sealed prior to use. Autoclaving a device under the proper conditions allows for sterilization of that device. The device can withstand the saturated steam at high temperatures (121°C or 250°F) and pressures (103 kPa or 15 psi) for the typical 15- 45 minute cycle associated with the process. The materials of construction of this device can withstand up to 131°C which is 10°C higher than what is expected to be observed during a standard autoclave cycle.

General description
In-Line Stainless Steel Filter Holders are commonly used for the filtration of gases or liquids at inlet pressures of 20 to 700 bar. Differential pressure depends on filter type used. All filter holders may be autoclaved (available in 25 mm and 47 mm).
Filter holder XX4404700 is equipped with a back-pressure support screen. It may be autoclaved with filter in-place, if PTFE-coated support screens, XX4404702 and XX4404704, are used.
- XX4204709, XX4304701, XX4404703, 5614, and 00907P are replacement parts for Filter Holder XX4404700.
Filter holder XX4504700 may be equipped with an upstream filter support screen, XX4504704, for back-pressure protection of filter.
- XX4504704, XX4504705, XX4504710, XX4504713, and XX45047RK are replacement parts for Filter Holder XX4504700.
Replacement parts for the 25mm SS Filter Holder are available as a kit under Catalog Number XX45025RK, which includes: (3) stainless steel hex-cap screws, (3) LCR-treated Buna-N O-rings (2-018), (1) stainless steel support screen, (1) Allen wrench.
