General description

Set of 75 short hydrolysis probes for gene expression quantification of multiple organism levels by real-time PCR.


Use the Universal ProbeLibrary Extension Set in combination with the Universal ProbeLibrary Set, Human to obtain a complete set of all 165 Universal ProbeLibrary Probes. This combination of sets enables the quantification of transcripts of all organisms included on the online Universal ProbeLibrary Assay Design Center. In addition, this combination of sets is utilized when designing assays for organisms not included on the Universal ProbeLibrary Assay Design Center by selecting the "Other Organism" link.

Features and Benefits

The set contains Universal ProbeLibrary Probes #91 to #165. The probes are dual-labeled with a reporter fluorophore (FAM) and a dark quencher dye. They are used in standard real-time PCR assays on standard real-time PCR instrumentation.

10 μM solution of a Universal ProbeLibrary probe, 5′ labeled with fluorescein (FAM) and 3′ labeled with a dark quencher dye.


All probes in the Universal ProbeLibrary Extension Set have passed a real-time PCR performance test using the matching primers and control templates from the Universal ProbeLibrary Control Set.
Each probe is analyzed by anion-exchange HPLC and MALDI-MS to ensure purity and quality.
