General description

Adenosine aminohydrolase.
Adenosine deaminase (ADA) is a zinc metalloenzyme.

Application

Chemiluminescent adenosine assay.
Deamination of adenosine analogs to the corresponding inosine analogs
Adenosine deaminase (ADA) has been used in lipolysis assay along with other reagents.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Adenosine deaminase (ADA) is involved in the deamination of adenosine to inosine and 2′ deoxyadenosine to 2′-deoxyinosine.

Quality

Contaminants: <0.01% alkaline phosphatase, AMP-deaminase, guanase, and nucleoside phosphorylase each

Physical form

Suspension in 3.2 M ammonium sulfate solution, pH approximately 6. Small particles are normal. Before using stir up the precipitate and proceed.
