Description

General description

Penoxsulam is a triazolopyrimidine sulfonamide type of post-emergence herbicide,[1] used as an acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor for weed control management.[2]

Application

Penoxsulam may be used as a reference standard in the determination of penoxsulam in:

• Water samples using high performance liquid chromatography coupled with diode array detector (HPLC-DAD).[3]
• Aquatic systems adjacent to rice fields using liquid chromatography coupled with ultraviolet detector.[1]
