Fumonisins are a family of mycotoxins that are characterized by their structurally related homologs. They are generally produced by fungi of Fusarium species.[1][2]

Application

Fumonisin B₁ may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in:

• Swine liver by high performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD).[1]
• Cereals by HPLC.[2]
