Application

Butylamine (n-Butylamine) may be used as a template to generate hierarchical monolithic zeolites.[1] It may also be used as a dispersion medium for fluorinated graphene sheets (F-GSs) to generate butylamine modified F-GSs.[2]

General description

Butylamine (n-Butylamine, BuA) is a primary aliphatic amine. Its pyrolysis mechanism has been investigated.[3] BuA can be synthesized from butyronitrile via Co/SiO2 (silicon dioxide) assisted hydrogenation.[4][5] A decrease in fluorescence intensity was observed on adding BuA to a solution of colloidal CdSe nanoparticles (NPs).[6]

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
