General description

L-Cystine belongs to the amino acid group and is found to be optically active due the presence of chiral centers and a wide range of hydrogen bonding network, which tends to enhance its optical properties.[1] It can serve as an important source of L-cysteine and other sulfur containing amino acids, thus acting like a substitute for L-methionine.[2]
This certified reference material (CRM) is produced and certified in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034. This CRM is traceable to primary material from an NMI, e.g. NIST or NMIJ.
Certified content by quantitative NMR incl. uncertainty and expiry date are given on the certificate.
Download your certificate at: http://www.sigma-aldrich.com.
