Acetone is a highly volatile and a flammable liquid, which comes under the class of ketones having an aromatic odor.
This substance is listed on the positive list of the EU regulation 10/2011 for plastics intended to come into contact with food.

Application

Acetone may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in human breath and plasma by various gas chromatography techniques.
Acetone′s luminesence intensity is dependent upon the solution components . The absorption of UV light by acetone, results in its photolysis and the production of radials .
