Application

A basal medium to which various carbohydrates can be added to study fermentation reactions.

Preparation Note

Suspend 15.1 g of Andrade Peptone Water in 1000 ml of distilled water. Dissolve the medium completely and dispense in test tubes containing inverted Durham′s tubes. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Cool to room temperature and aseptically add a sterile stock solution of a carbohydrate to a final concentration of 0.5% to 1.0% (w/v).

Other Notes

We offer two media types: the superior granulated GranuCult® and the cost-efficient powdered NutriSelect® culture media, depending on your needs.
The designations basic, plus, or prime are added to indicate the quality control level, from basic quality control to standard QC plus to prime for full regulatory compliance.
