Application

Arsenazo III has been used as a color forming reagent to determine uranium concentration.[1]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Arsenazo III is a metallochromic dye.[2] Arsenazo III is used in the determination of calcium in biological samples.[3] It is used to evaluate calcium transport in permeabilized cells.[4] It is also used for the detection of rare earth metals (polyvalent metal ions).[5] Arsenazo III is used for the spectrophotometric determination of uranium and thorium.[6][7]
