Arginine hydrochloride BP Reference standard, intended for use in laboratory tests only as specifically prescribed in the British Pharmacopoeia.

Also used in monographs such as:
  • Arginine Hydrochloride Oral Solution
  • Arginine Hydrochloride Infusion
  • Arginine Hydrochloride Sterile Concentrate
  • Biochem/physiol Actions

    Substrate of nitric oxide synthase, which is converted to citrulline and nitric oxide (NO). Induces insulin release by a nitric oxide-dependent mechanism.
