Description

General description

Captopril acts by inhibiting the angiotensin-converting enzyme and is known as an antihypertensive agent. It finds wide use in the treatment of congestive heart failure.[1]

Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor. Inhibits the formation of angiotensin II, a bioactive peptide that stimulates angiogenesis and increases microvessel density.
