Description

General description

Glycolic acid is an α-hydroxy acid with exfoliating and anti-ageing properties. It is useful in dermatology, medical, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical applications.[1]

Application

Glycolic Acid may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by gas chromatography (GC).[2]
