General description

Manganese (II) sulfate monohydrate is a safe and inexpensive catalyst used in organic synthesis. Additionally, it is used to prepare manganese dioxide and manganese.

Application

Manganese (II) sulfate monohydrate is used:
  • As a catalyst in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds such as benzo-2-pyrones and benzopyrazines.
  • To prepare cathode material magnesium manganese spine (MgMn2O4) by coprecipitation method.
