General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Click here for more details.

Application

Used in a wide variety of biochemical and immunological applications to remove reactants and waste products.
Activated charcoal, acid-washed with hydrochloric acid forms a composite with natural cellulose, which can be used in the fabrication of a flexible electrode with a specific capacitance of ~103 Fg-1 for supercapacitor application. It can also be used in the preparation of ultracapacitors with asymmetric configuration.

Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. Can you please clarify the pore size and porosity of this product

    1 answer
    1. The pore size or porosity of this product is not determined. The material particle size is 65 - 75% -325 mesh (44 um), with a estimated total surface area of 900-1000 m2/g, and an estimated pore volume of 0.90 mL/g.

      Helpful?

  2. What is the mesh number or particle size for this product?

    1 answer
    1. The particle size of this product is not determined on a lot-by-lot basis. However, historical data indicates that the bulk of this material is -325 mesh (44 um or less).

      Helpful?

  3. What is the surface area of this activated carbon?

    1 answer
    1. The surface area is approximately 1100 m²/g.
