Micro particles based on polystyrene, 100 nM may be derivatized to generate media for applications such as antibody conjugation and use in immunoagglutination assay development. Polystyrene microparticles are useful as potential biodegradable vaccine adjuvants, drug delivery devices and reference standards.

For every lot exact values of particle size and standard deviation are determined with an accuracy of 0.01 μm using a Coulter Multisizer.
