Application
- for the stimulation of lymphocytes: peptidoglycan activates the toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2), present in mammalian cells. It works as an antagonist of Poly (I:C)[1]
- for g-type lysozyme stimulation by intraperitoneally inoculating it into sole specimens[2]
- in phosphate buffer saline and injected into Labeo rohita fingerlings, to study its effect on nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-2 (NOD-2) gene expression[3]

When I dissolve the 10mg PGN in 10mL of ultrapure water, there are white chunks that float to the bottom. Are there any recommendations for making these particles more uniform in the suspension? Or a better way to dissolve the PGN?
1 answer-
This product is not tested for solubility. Peptidoglycans are only minimally soluble and will often produce a hazy or turbid solution. Sonication and/or further dilution may improve the solubility.
The product issue you are reporting should be investigated by our Technical Service team, who can assist you with further troubleshooting and/or investigation.
