Angiogenin (ANG) is a member of the ribonuclease superfamily that regulates blood vessel formation. ANG also modulates motor neuron physiology and the secretion of prostacyclin in endothelial cells. Mutations in ANG have been associated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis . Monoclonal anti-angiogenin antibody is specific for recombinant human angiogenin.
Immunogen
purified recombinant human angiogenin expressed in E. coli.
Application
Monoclonal anti-angiogenin antibody is suitable for use in capture ELISA (2-8 μg/mL), immunoblot and western blot (1-2 μg/ml).
Monoclonal mouse anti-angiogenin was used for detection of angiogenin-I in mouse livers following induced myocardial ischemia by immunohistochemistry at a dilution of 1:1000.
Physical form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline containing carbohydrates.

Diabetic impaired angiogenesis is associated with impairment of hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha (HIF-1alpha) as well as vasculature maturation. We investigated the potential roles and intracellular mechanisms of angiopoietin-1 (Ang-1) gene therapy on myocardial HIF-1alpha stabilization and vascular maturation in db/db mice. db/db

Angiogenin is a secreted polypeptide that induces neovascularization in vivo. The expression of angiogenin by human cells in culture was investigated by using a specific radioimmunoassay and by cDNA hybridization. Angiogenin immunoreactivity was widely but differentially produced by anchorage-dependent growing

Angiogenin stimulates capillary and umbilical vein endothelial cell prostacyclin secretion but not that of prostaglandins of the E series. The response was quantitated by radioimmunoassay and by [3H]arachidonate labeling followed by analysis of the secreted prostaglandins. The stimulated secretion lasts
Mutations in the coding region of angiogenin (ANG) gene have been found in patients suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Neurodegeneration results from the loss of angiogenic ability of ANG (protein coded by ANG). In this work, we performed extensive
