Biochem/physiol Actions

The Inhibitor of nuclear factor-κB (IκB) kinase (IKK) complex is a central regulator of NF-κB signaling and activation of target genes. The IKK complex is made up of IKK1, IKK2 and NEMO or IKK γ. Two subunits of NEMO bind the IKK1-IKK2 heterodimer to make up the IKK complex. IKK γ lacks a catalytic domain but has regulatory function on the IKK complex.
