Eagle's Basal Medium or BME, developed by Harry Eagle, is one of the most widely used of all synthetic cell culture media.

Preparation Note

Formulated to contain 9.2 grams of powder per liter of medium.
Supplement with 2.2 g/L sodium bicarbonate.
