ADP ribosylation factor like GTPase 13A (ARL13A) is a member of the ADP ribosylation factor (ARF) family. It is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome Xq22.1. Members of Arf protein family are activated by ArfGEFs (guanine nucleotide exchange factors), with catalytic sec7 domain and inactivated by GTPase-accelerating proteins (GAPs), with a conserved ARF GTPase-activating protein (ARFGAP) domain.
