Application

Carboxylate-modified polystyrene latex beads have been used to collect morphofunctional data about the immune systems of Carabus lefebvrei, a helicophagous Italian endemic ground beetle often used as an indicator of the habitat quality of the Apennines mountain forests. Carboxylate-modified polystyrene latex beads have also been used to inform comparative studies on immunity defense mechanisms of adults and larvae of the coleopteran Cetonischema aeruginosa and to investigate the phagocytic activity of cultured rat thyroid cells.

Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. What is the correct storage temperature?

    1 answer
    1. This product may be stored at room temperature.

      Helpful?

  2. Is the 2.4% wet weight concentration in mg o g

    1 answer
    1. The 2.5% composition referenced on this product page is the weight/weight concentration of beads in water. Typically, the percentage is reported in grams - in this case, 2.5 grams of beads per 100 grams of water. However, this also applies to milligrams - in this case, 2500 milligrams per 100,000 milligrams of water. The concentration of this product will range from 2.4 - 2.6%. This information is reported in the lot specific Certificate of Analysis. Please see the link below to review a sample or lot speciific Certificate:
