I want to use this product (L3126) for preparing a solution to conduct in vitro degradation experiments on a particular material. Could you please provide detailed instructions on how to prepare the solution, including any recommendation?
1 answer-
Unfortunately, there is no application specific instructions available for this product. The material may be reconstituted in 100 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 8.0, containing 1 mg/ml BSA. This product is from porcine pancreas. Another product option, L3419 Lipase from Thermus thermophilus, is reconstituted in 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0. This material states that solutions are stable for up to 1 month at 2 - 8°C. Please see the link below to review the datasheet for this item:

How is a "microequivalent" of fatty acid quantified in the enzymatic activity unit definition for L3126?
1 answer-
A microequivalent is equivalent to 1 mmol/L. In this case, one unit of Lipase will hydrolyze 1.0 microequivalent (1 mmol/L) of fatty acid from olive oil in 1 hour at pH 7.7 at 37°C.
