For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. Sephadex LH-20 swells in water, polar organic solvents, aqueous solvent mixtures, and mixtures of polar organic solvents. In solvent mixtures containing both polar and non-polar organic solvents the gel takes up predominantly the polar component. Following is a table of solvents and the approximate swelling volume. What is Sephadex LH-20, Product LH20100?

Sephadex LH-20 is a beaded, cross-linked dextran which has been hydroxypropylated to yield a chromatographic media with both hydrophilic and lipophilic character. Due to its dual character, LH-20 swell in water and a number of organic solvents. The particle size and exclusion limit vary depending on the solvent used for swelling. The swollen resin can be used for gel filtration separations of both hydrophilic and lipophilic compounds.
