The M3168 product does not require a stop solution. 4MUP is a fluorescent substrate. Adding a stop solution to 4MUP, such as an acidic solution like 2M Sulfuric Acid, would greatly reduce or eliminate the fluorescence. While stop solutions are typically added to substrates like pNPP, TMB, or OPD, they are not required when working with product M3168. The Product Information Sheet for M3168 can be downloaded from the website, where it mentions that the solution is ready to use and nothing else should be added to it.
