General description

CUTAG CPG from Proligo® Reagents is a universal CPG, i.e. comprises a universal linker ("UnyLinker"). It can be utilized as a substitute for traditional nucleoside-loaded CPG during the synthesis of any oligonucleotide sequence, regardless of the 3’-end nucleoside. The CUTAG CPG can be utilized under standard conditions and reagents used for synthesizing oligonucleotides with nucleoside-loaded CPG. The key distinction in using Proligo Reagent’s CUTAG CPG for oligonucleotide preparation is that the 3’-base of the oligonucleotide to be synthesized is not connected to the support. This base needs to be incorporated in the initial synthesis cycle on the CUTAG support.

Features and Benefits

CUTAG CPG can substitute for all conventional DNA and RNA supports. It is compatible with most of the oligonucleotide modifiers described in the literature and so can also be employed to produce 3’-modified- or thioated oligonucleotides.

Questions

  1. What is the meaning of 25-35 umole/gm

    1 answer
    1. The specification of 25-35 µmol/g refers to the functional group. Essentially, there will be 25 to 35 micromoles of the functional group per gram of controlled pore glass (CPG). This is somewhat indicative of the yield, however, as the length of the oligo increases the yield per gram would predictably decrease.
