Application

4-Nitrophenyl acetate has been used:
  • to evaluate esterase activity in human embryonic kidney cell line[1]
  • in carbonic anhydrase inhibition assay
  • to study its conversion to p-nitrophenol (p-NP) by the esterase activity of bovine serum albumin
  • as a substrate to determine carboxylesterase (CES) activity in mouse liver cells[2]
  • to study the advantages of bioconjugation of cross-linked enzyme aggregates (CLEAs) and magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (MIONPs) in magnetic CLEAs matrix
