Oleic Acid-Water Soluble has been used:
  • to prepare the FFAs (free fatty acids) mixture for cell treatment[1]
  • to investigate its effect on the solute carrier family 2 member 4 (SLC2A4)/GLUT4 expression in L6 muscle cells and as potential transcriptional regulators[2]
  • in the preparation of fatting media for the induction of in vitro steatosis in primary human hepatocytes[3]

Other Notes

Methyl-β-cylodextran binding improves the solubility and delivery of Oleic acid in culture media.

    1. This product is a mixture of Oleic acid and Cyclodextrin. Each gram of powder will include a minimum of 28 mg Oleic acid. The product is sold by Oleic acid content. At the minimum Oleic acid content, the 10 mg package size would contain a total of 357 mg of powder. The Oleic acid content is lot specific.
