Mouse IGF-I ELISA Kit has been used to measure the concentration of insulin-like growth factor(IGF) secreted by mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs).[2][3] It has also been used to measure the level of IGF1 in blood samples of mice.[4]

Biochem/physiol Actions

IGF-I (Insulin-like growth factor-I) is required for fetal growth and development.[5] It is also involved in the growth and repair of heart tissues.[6] IGF-I has been linked to neuroplasticity and hippocampal neurogenesis.[7] It is important in the recovery from ischaemic injury.[8] IGF-I also facilitates the differentiation of adipocytes and other cells.[9]

General description

The Mouse IGF-I ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of mouse IGF-I in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.
