General description

Anti-SRPK1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total SRPK1 protein.
Serine-arginine protein kinase 1 (SRPK1) belongs to the SR kinase family. In mammals, SRPK1 is expressed in the central nervous system in a region- and neuron-specific manner. This gene is mapped to human chromosome 6p21.2-p21.3. SRPK1 is also expressed in several normal tissues like testis and pancreas.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human SRPK1.

Immunogen Range: 521-570

Biochem/physiol Actions

Serine-arginine protein kinase 1 (SRPK1) modulates angiogenesis. Suppressing SRPK1 prevents the development and migration in renal carcinoma cells. In normoxic condition, SRPK1 can increase the migration and invasion of glioma cells.
