General description

Cinepazide maleate can be synthesized from ethyl chlorocarbonate activation and (E) 3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamylic acid.[1]

Cinepazide maleate is a vasodilator used clinically in China used for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and peripheral vascular diseases.
Cinepazide maleate is a vasodilator used clinically in China used in China for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and peripheral vascular diseases. Cinepazide maleate is thought to act as a potentiator of adenosine A2 receptors and has also been characterized as a calcium channel blocker. It was withdrawn for agranulocytosis in several countries.
