Application

The CDP-Star Universal Detection kit provides the necessary components for the chemiluminescent detection of biotin- or fluorescein-labeled probes in Northern, Southern, sequencing, and colony/plaque lift blotting applications. The optimized procedure and reagents provided in the universal detection kit offer picogram sensitivity and due to the extended light emission exhibited by dephosphorylation of CDP-Star, multiple film exposures are possible. Following exposure to alkaline phosphatase-labeled molecules, light emission continues for up to 24 hours, thus, allowing for optimal signal-to-noise adjustment and detection of low-abundance targets.
