General description

SH3 domain containing 19 (SH3D19) is a cytoplasmic protein and the gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 4q31.3.

Immunogen

SH3D19 (NP_001009555, 94 a.a. ~ 203 a.a) partial recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa.

Biochem/physiol Actions

SH3 domain containing 19 (SH3D19) inhibits processes induced by Ras oncoprotein. It binds to a protein called EEN (extra eleven-nineteen leukemia fusion gene protein), part of the endophilin family, and modulates the activity of ADAMs (a disintegrin and metalloproteases).

Physical form

Solution in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4

A disintegrin and metalloproteases (ADAMs) are implicated in the ectodomain shedding of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) ligands in EGFR transactivation. However, the activation mechanisms of ADAMs remain elusive. To analyze the regulatory mechanisms of ADAM activation, we performed yeast
