General description

Hellma® absorption cuvettes, semi Micro with PTFE lids (spectral range 200-2,500 nm, pathlength 10 mm, chamber volume 1,400 μL) are available in high-performance Suprasil quartz material. The highest level of sensitivity in the measurement can be achieved by suitably selecting the cell for a specific application such that it exhibits high transmission in the spectral range of interest. The maximum of 80-90% transmission shown by empty Suprasil quartz cell is caused by the reflection loss at the four glass/air boundaries. When filled with common solvents, the cell will exhibit significantly higher maximum transmissions.

  1. Buongiorno, la cuvetta è in grado di effettuare una lettura in 100 uL di campione?

    1. This product is not suitable for determining the absorbance of a 100 μL sample. The capacity of this cuvette is 1400 μL; a 100 μL sample would not be in the path of the light beam. An Ultra-Micro cuvette is recommended for 100 ?L samples. Technical service can be contacted for assistance with selecting a suitable cuvette.

  2. Est ce que le bouchon de ces cuves peut supporter des solvants comme l'acétone ?

    1. This product includes a PTFE cap. PTFE is resistant to most organic solvents, including acetone, as well as strong acids and bases.

    1. As mentioned in the 'DESCRIPTION' section under 'Packaging', this product is sold as a single cuvette.
