General description

Retention Mechanism: Reversed-phase
Sample Matrix Compatibility: Aqueous solutions (drinking, ground, waste water)

  • Polymerically bonded, octadecyl (17% C), endcapped
  • Excellent for cleaning, extracting and concentrating pollutants from aqueous environmental samples
  • Higher 17% C loading for increased binding capacities and higher recoveries
  • Higher carbon loading also offers greater resistance to extreme pH conditions
  • Used for extracting herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides from waste material

Questions

  1. Is a pump necessary for extraction using the Supelclean™ ENVI™-18 SPE Tube?

    1 answer
    1. The Visiprep Manifold for extraction using solid phase extraction (SPE) tubes requires a vacuum pump, such as the KNF Laboport® mini pump, along with the SPE Vacuum Trap Kit, product 57120-U. Additionally, there are alternative methods for using SPE tubes. For instance, if processing only a few SPE samples, a Single SPE Tube Processor, 57080-U, is available. Moreover, if processing many samples, a centrifuge can be used for processing the SPE tubes. It is important to note that letting the conditioned tubes dry out should be avoided, as this would necessitate repeating the conditioning process.
