Application

Supelclean LC-SCX SPE Tube may be used for the solid-phase extraction of:
  • Cimaterol, salbutamol, terbutaline and ractopamine in feed samples prior to their determination by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence detection (UPLC-FLD).
  • Adulterants in slimming functional foods prior to their quantification by gas chromatography-electron impact-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-EI-MS/MS).

Protocols

Solid Phase Extraction: Normal Phase Methodology

Retention occurs through polar interaction between the sorbent and analytes. Typical sample matrices that can be employed in normal-phase SPE include hydrocarbon or fatty oils diluted in a solvent like hexane, isooctane, chlorinated solvent, THF, diethyl ether, or ethyl acetate.
