General description

Solid phase microextraction technique can be used for GC/MS analysis. It helps in simplifying and speeds up the sample preparation. It also reduces solvent requirement for the extraction. Polyacrylate is used as stationary phase in extraction of insecticides.[1]

Application

SPME fiber assembly polyacrylate (PA) was used for manual sampling, during SPME of insecticides in water samples[1], chlorophenols in landfill leachates[2], headspace immersion extraction[3] and for extraction of free fatty acids.[4]
