General description

For Gases and Low Molecular Weight Compounds (MW 30-225)
Solid phase microextraction (SPME) technique is generally used for GC/MS analysis. It helps in simplifying and speeding up the sample preparation. It also reduces solvent requirement during extraction.

SPME fiber assembly (CAR/PDMS) was used:
  • to extract volatiles from headspace vial of cheese samples.
  • to measure dimethyl sulphide concentrations of Ulva lactuca.
  • in determination of 2-Heptanone concentrations.

This SPME fiber assembly is also available with a Nitinol (NIT) core as Cat. No. 57908-U, providing enhanced fiber reproducibility, greater fiber durability, maintained selectivity for method consistency, and core inertness to ensure analyte stability. See more at .
