Fragrance Allergen Standards (compliant with IFRA Method)

We are proud to introduce two ready to use certified reference material mixtures suitable to be used as calibrants for the new IFRA method for the testing of 57 potentially allergenic fragrances . This GC/MS method has been developed by the IFRA in response to an opinion by the European Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS), which also proposed to correspondingly amend EC regulation No 1223/2009.
The individual substances of those two mixes consist of different alcohol and carbonyl components, that all were individually characterized thoroughly and their content determined by quantitative nuclear magnetic resonance (qNMR) spectroscopy following the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

Product Features of the two mixes A1 and A2:

  • Certification of each individual component by quantitative NMR (qNMR) (following ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation)
  • Mixes produced following an established workflow according to ISO 17034
  • Tested for homogeneity and long term stability using GC-MS and GC-FID
  • Supplied with a comprehensive certificate including overall uncertainty as well as the individually determined uncertainties of all the components

In addition to the two mixes in solution, we also provide several components in pure neat form as a reference grade. The products are provided with NIST SRM traceable values with uncertainty and expiry date. The values are determined by quantitative NMR.
