The Growth Factor ELISA assay is designed to measure growth factor levels in tissue culture media, serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The ELISA assay uses the "sandwich" enzyme immunoassay technique, with a monoclonal primary capture antibody and a peroxidase labeled specific secondary antibody. The monoclonal primary capture antibody is pre-coated onto a 96-well plate with removable strips. The ELISA kits detect picogram quantities of cytokines. It is a solid phase ELISA which measures TNF-α in less than 4 hours for tissue culture samples and less than 5 hours using serum, plasma or other biological fluids.

Specificity

This ELISA kit has been shown to accurately quantitate recombinant human TNF-α and can be used to determine relative mass values for natural human TNF-α.
