General description

Poly(9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-yleneethynylene) (PFE) is a conjugating polymer that is a derivative of poly(fluoreneethynylene). It has high chemical stability with blue photo and electroluminescent properties which can be used in organic electronics.

Application

Conducting polymer.

Exhibits blue photo- and electroluminescence.

PFE is a conducting polymer which can be used in the fabrication of non-linear devices such as logic devices, modulators, and optical switches. It may also be used in the formation of polymeric hybrids for ultraviolet photo-detector applications.
