The product is a ′bimembrane′ with one layer having equivalent weight 1,500 and thickness 0.001in., and the other layer having equivalent weight 1,100 and thickness 0.005in.

Nafion perfluorinated membrane is mainly used as a proton exchange membrane (PEM) for fuel cell applications. It can also be used as a membrane for lithium isotope separation, which can be further be utilized as a fuel for fusion reactors. It has excellent chemical stability and high cationic conductivity. It finds potential usage in batteries and sensors.

Nafion is a perfluorinated ion-exchange membrane which has a wide variety of commercial uses. The acidic (hydrogen ion) form and derivatives are solid, superacid catalysts useful in a wide variety of synthetic applications.

Darkening/browning is common for pieces stored in a general room environment for an extended period of time (several months), due to organics pick-up. Verify product is kept sealed during storage.
· Keep pieces sealed and protected from general exposure will reduce the effect. Recommend long term storage in air-tight bags.
· Discoloration does not affect performance and can be removed by soaking in dilute nitric acid.

Packaged in a heat-sealed foil bag in stay-flat mailers.
