This material is a relatively new candidate as a n-type semiconductor for use in Organic Field Effect Transistor (OFET) devices. It displays very impressive fluorescence useful in the field of optics research. The ethynyl bridges allow the molecule to stack more efficiently allowing for enhanced electron transport.
