Description

General description

Trovitch Mn-Precatalyst [((Ph2PPr)PDI)Mn] is a formally zerovalent manganese complex, containing phosphine-substituted PDI (pyridine diimine) ligand. This hydrosilylation reagent can be synthesized by the reduction of (Ph2PPrPDI)MnCl2. Its electronic structure has been studied. Trovitch Mn-Precatalyst is also reported to mediate the dihydrosilylation of esters.

Application

Mn-complex was commercialized in collaboration with Ryan Trovitch and coworkers. This complex has shown to be effective in the hydrosilylation of ketones and esters.

Packaging

100 mg in glass bottle

Other Notes

A Highly Active Manganese Precatalyst for the Hydrosilylation of Ketones and Esters
