NanoFabTx(TM) PLGA-Micro is a ready-to-use nanoformulation kit for the synthesis of 1 to 5 um particles. This kit includes PLGA and stabilizer to make PLGA microparticles using microfluidics method. Drug molecules can be formulated into particles for drug delivery researches and applications. Protocols are provided for the facile fabrication of empty and drug loaded microparticles. Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) is a biocompatible and biodegradable polymer that has been approved by the FDA and the EMA for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications. PLGA based nanoparticles have been widely used as drug delivery systems for different types of therapeutic molecules, to achieve controlled drug release.
