General description

Native angiotensinogen from human plasma that is cleaved by renin to generate angiotensin I. It is a part of the renin-angiotensin system that regulates blood pressure and fluid balance.

Native angiotensinogen from human plasma. An α2-globulin present in plasma at about 7 mg/100 ml. Can be cleaved by renin to generate angiotensin I.

Lyophilized from 50 mM sodium phosphate, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.0.

Preparation Note

Please refer to vial label for lot-specific concentration prior to lyophilization.

Prepared from plasma that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.

Reconstitution

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -20°C.
